Sheen Ladies tug of war club was formed in 2002. We train at Sheen in Stafforshire.We train their for both Indoor and the Outdoor seasons. The Indoor season starts in October running through to December. When there is a World Championships, which are held every 2 years, then we train through until February. We train for the indoor season on mondays and thursdays 7.30pm-9.30pm with competitions on a sunday.For the outdoor season we train on tuesdays and thursdays 7.30pm-9.30pm with competitions on sundays.

INDOOR. Our first National Indoor Gold medal was in 2003 winning both the 520 & 560 weights, since then we have won the 520 in 2004,2005,2006 & 2007, and the 560 in 2004,2005 & 2007. In 2006 at the World Indoor Closed Champioships in Kilarney, Ireland, we represented England and won our first international medal, taking the Silver medal in the 520kg. We pulled in the World games in Germany in 2005 finishing 5th.In 2008 at the World Indoor Closed Championships we came 4th in the 520kg. As we finished in the top 6 in the World Championships, we have quailified for the World Games which are being held in Beijing in 2009. We also won a Bronze in the 520kg World Club Championships held in Faenza Italy.

OUTDOOR.  Our first success at the National Championships was in 2006, winning the 560kg. We then represented England for thr first time in Holland at 560kg in 2006 coming 6th. In 2007 we won our first International 560kg Gold Medal at the United Kingdom Championships held at Mold, Wales. In the same year we represented England at the European Championships held in Minehead in September coming 4th.!n 2008 we had our best season winning all the major titles 520kg & 560kg National Championships, 520kg & 560kg Ladies League Champions and United Kingdom Championship 560kg Champions. We represented England at 520kg for the first time in the World Championships in sweden coming a credit 5th place.
